YCAB Foundation, in partnership with UPS, a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, is launching Wirausaha Ekspor Indonesia (WEI) 3. Building on the success of the WEI initiative, the program aims to support high-potential women-led and male-led small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in moving beyond export readiness to successfully access and grow in international markets.
Through targeted technical assistance, practical export and logistics training, tailored market strategies, peer learning, and support for digital export platforms, the program seeks to strengthen SMEs’ competitiveness, unlock new global market opportunities, and contribute to inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Indonesia.
A total of 50 SMEs will participate in the program’s initial phase and will be assessed for their readiness to advance to the next stage. From this cohort, 30 selected SMEs will continue to an intensive mentoring program designed to support the implementation of their export plans and accelerate their entry into international markets.
Phase 1: Advanced Export Training
The Advanced Export Training phase will equip participating SMEs with practical knowledge to strengthen their readiness for international markets. The training will cover key aspects of export operations, market strategies, and global trade requirements. As part of this phase, UPS Indonesia will deliver hands-on logistics training and export simulations covering packaging standards, shipping processes, and export documentation, enabling participants to gain practical experience in managing international shipments.
Phase 2: Mentorship and Export Readiness Support
Following the training phase, selected SMEs will participate in an intensive mentoring program to support the implementation of their export plans. Mentors will guide participants in refining export strategies, navigating compliance requirements, and strengthening their readiness for international markets. Participants will also receive targeted business support, including assistance for export certification and packaging improvements to help meet international market standards.
From Export Readiness to Global Opportunity
Through a combination of training, mentorship, and targeted support, WEI 3 aims to help Indonesian SMEs move beyond export readiness and take meaningful steps toward global market entry.
