YCAB Foundation, with the support of Citi Foundation, introduces Anak Muda untuk Dunia Kerja dan Wirausaha Digital Inklusif (ANDAL), an initiative aimed at expanding access to sustainable livelihoods for underprivileged youth, including people with disabilities, while ensuring strong participation from young women, who make up the majority of beneficiaries. The program will engage 2,500 individuals through an integrated approach that combines vocational training, job placement, and digital entrepreneurship opportunities.
Through a combination of industry-aligned training, mentorship, and ecosystem collaboration, the program seeks to equip young people with practical skills, strengthen their employability, and support them in earning a decent income in line with regional minimum wage standards. ANDAL also promotes inclusive and safe working environments by integrating the Prevention of Sexual Harassment, Exploitation, and Abuse (PSHEA) framework among participants and private sector partners.
Implemented through January 2028, the program will reach youth across DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Central Java. A total of 2,500 participants will be engaged across two main pathways: formal employment and digital entrepreneurship, each designed to respond to the evolving demands of the labor market.
Program Implementation
1 – Formal Job Training
The program will collaborate with vocational training centers to deliver technical training to 1,250 youth. In the first year, 550 participants will be trained across two batches, followed by 700 participants in the second year, also delivered in two batches.
2 – Digital Entrepreneurship Training
Parallel to the employment track, 1,250 youth will participate in intensive, market-driven digital entrepreneurship training. The first year will engage 550 participants in one batch, with the second year expanding to 700 participants across two batches.
3 – Soft Skills Training
Participants from both tracks will gain access to self-paced learning modules through a Learning Management System (LMS), covering essential soft skills and financial literacy to strengthen their workplace readiness and economic resilience.
4 – 1-on-1 Mentoring
The program provides personalized mentoring to prepare participants for professional pathways while facilitating direct connections with HR representatives and industry partners. For entrepreneurship participants, mentoring will also support the development and management of digital businesses through platform integration.
5 – Financial Literacy Training
Participants will receive structured financial management training designed to build long-term financial stability and resilience.
6 – PSHEA Socialization and Implementation
To foster safe and inclusive workplaces, PSHEA socialization will be delivered to both participants and industry partners. In the first year, 1,100 individuals will be trained, increasing to 1,400 in the second year. The program will also provide technical assistance to private sector partners in developing and implementing PSHEA policies, engaging both management and labor union representatives.
7 – Social Protection Awareness
For participants in the digital entrepreneurship track, the program will facilitate offline social protection sessions in collaboration with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, ensuring access to essential employment protection schemes.
Building Inclusive Pathways to Economic Opportunity
Through an integrated approach combining skills development, mentorship, and system-level support, ANDAL aims to bridge the gap between education and employment while fostering inclusive entrepreneurship opportunities.
YCAB Foundation, together with Citi Foundation, is committed to creating pathways for youth to access decent work, build sustainable livelihoods, and participate meaningfully in Indonesia’s growing digital economy.
