Deni Ardiansyah

Posted on April 10, 2011

My name is Deni and my friends tend to call me Palkeng. That nick name came from one of my friends because he thought that when I was younger, my head was in the shape of a Kelengkeng fruit. I come from a family of 4 which includes my mom, dad, me, and my sister. We all live in Jakarta in Jl. Joglo Baru RT 07/02. My family is generally very content because we do not get bored often.

My hobby is to write literature, especially those in the form of poetry. When I was in middle school, I would spend days writing poetry and I am proud of my work so far. My dream is however to become a famous chef. This is partially because I want to follow in the steps of my uncle. My uncle currently works in a restaurant and makes money. When my uncle heard this, he was not that happy because he knew that writing is my passion. However, I would like to still become a chef that writes when I have the time.

I think that school is very important in life. School is like clothing. If we do not have any clothes, we do not want to go outside to go to places. In the same way, without the needed skills, we would not be able to make our dreams come true. Because of this, I felt very sad when I had to drop out of school. I just enrolled to Rumah Belajar and I think that this place is a bright start.

We've found many of them useful and powerful to collect insights from various stakeholders of our organization."
