My name is Marta Yunita and my friends gave me a nickname “bogel” because I am shorter than the normal girl my age. I was born in Medan but then moved to Jakarta with my aunt and grandmother who I call “Opung”. They are the one who raised me and gave me education since I was in primary school. I have a younger sibling who is living with my mother in Medan. My mom works as a farmer there and when she can, also sells her produced goods.
When I come home from school, I have the responsibility to take care of my grandmother because her hearing is getting worse and her eyes are constantly blurring. My hobby is to read novels and I do not like to play sports. Although I know that playing sports makes people healthy, it is also very tiring and I don’t like to sweat. The most important thing according to my family is being together and also being successful in everything we do. When things are looking down for us, we constantly give each other support to get through it. When I grow up, I want to be an accountant because they make a lot of money.
When I was involved and enrolled in Rumah Belajar I was very happy because before that time, I was feeling very down since I thought I could not continue my studies. Now that I have the opportunity, I will not waste it and take every chance I get.
