Siti Muslihah

Posted on April 10, 2011

My name is Siti Muslihah and I come from Purwokerto which is in Central Java. I am 15 years old and  currently live in South Kedoya after my family moved. I live with 3 other people who are my parents and  my younger sister. My dad works as a construction worker and although his salary isn’t that much, it is  enough to support the family. I am very proud of my dad. My mom on the other is a stay at home mom  who is now currently in her 8th month of child-bearing.

After school ends, I come home to help my mom with her daily chores because she has a hard time doing so right now. Afterwards, I love to hang out with my friends. My hobbies include singing, reading novels, and riding my bike. I think bike riding is very fun and efficient because it does not waste any fuel  and create pollution. The saddest thing that happened to me was when my sibling was diagnosed with Dengue Fever. It was terrifying. Now that he is healed and better, I am very happy. When I grow up, I  want to make my parents proud by becoming a successful businesswoman. Although I know that I have to pick up skills along the way, I am confident that if I go through school and believe in myself that I can achieve it.

In Rumah Belajar, I am currently taking English and computer classes. I think that these are important  skills for me to achieve my dream. I now regret having dropped out of school before I enrolled in Rumah Belajar.

We've found many of them useful and powerful to collect insights from various stakeholders of our organization."
