Angel of Change Run 2012

Posted on September 6, 2012

Angel of Change is a campaign that YCAB Foundation launched in February 2009 to inspire every individual and corporation in Indonesia to invest in the education of the Indonesian underprivileged kids. YCAB Foundation believes that by providing these kids with education, we are helping them break the poverty cycle and changing the future outlook of generations to come.

Angel of Change Run – presented by Achilles was held on 2 September 2012 at the Circuit Sentul, West Java, supported by so many partners and sponsors but most importantly, by about 1,000 runners who ran either 4 km or 12 km.

Press Conference

Two days prior the Angel of Change Run, a press conference was held at Wisma Achilles, Jalan Panjang no 29, West Jakarta. The speakers were:

  1. Veronica Colondam, Founder/CEO YCAB Foundation
  2. Teguh Anantawikrama, Head of Pengda PASI
  3. J-flow, to represent the runners
  4. Uthan Sadikin, Sales&Marketing Director of PT Multistrada Arah Sarana
  5. Djembar, from Jakarta Ban, to represent the Achilles Motorshop Festival

Multistrada Arah Sarana was organizing the Achilles Motorshow Festival and invited YCAB to do charity run before the race started. To have the race run professionally, YCAB and MSA invited PASI (Indonesian Athletics Federation) to support this event. 1,047 runners were registered including many who are members of the running groups such as Berlari untuk Berbagi and Indo Runners.
