We all know that YCAB’s mission is to prepare the young generation to be competitive and ready for the workplace. As such, YCAB always extends opportunities to any individual or organization who would like to share their knowledge with our children at Rumah Belajar. This time, the team from BFI Finance visited YCAB to share their knowledge and expertise with our children at Rumah Jahit Duri Kepa.
BFI Finance Indonesia conducted a 3-day Sharing Session for students of Rumah Jahit Duri Kepa, from 8-10 May 2017. Each session was from 1-5 PM at Rumah Belajar Duri Kepa, Jakarta.
On the May 8th, the volunteering activity kicked off by discussing SMEs. The explanation of SMEs was carried out by Bapak Priyo Widiyanto (Sales Head for National Small, Medium Enterprises at BFI Finance). The topic that was addressed was “Time for Success”, where students learned about the ways in which they might start a business or enterprise of their own.
This activity was made even more exciting by the presence of Dian Erakumalasari, a Batik fashion designer from the brand Dian Oerip, alongside Bapak Rudy Wiguna, the owner of Kopi dan Resto. 4 students from Rumah Jahit Duri Kepa were fortunate enough to receive a reward from Pak Rudy, which was the opportunity to participate in a barista training program for free, originally valued at Rp. 3,000,000.
Thank you BFI Finance Indonesia for your enthusiasm in giving! We hope that we can continue to share the enthusiasm of the #ExtensionofGoodness to everyone around us!
