Indonesia’s education shifted to a new normal from face-to-face to online schooling.
Marginalized students faced many challenges to continue their education. This included a lack of appropriate devices, accessibility, and connectivity.
Celebrating their 8th Anniversary, Centratama Group is providing support for 70 students of YCAB Foundation to continue their online learning by providing them with a year’s education support including devices and internet quota.
The gift of hope from Centratama Group is extended to the commitment of their employees to giving back by providing special classes to share about career choices in the professional workplace.
“Education is one of the YCAB Foundation’s focuses. For this reason, and we believe every child has the right to get a quality education, even amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. For children in marginalized communities, maintaining the spirit of learning is not easy. They face many obstacles due to economic limitations. Namely, difficulties to buy internet quota, smartphones that are not suitable for online learning, having to help parents work so they are not solely focused on studying, and many more. Therefore, we are grateful for the support from the Centratama Group, which took part in solving this problem. Hopefully, with this help, these children will continue to be enthusiastic about learning even during the pandemic.” added Veronica Colondam, CEO of YCAB Foundation.
