Posted on December 18, 2012

This year, in commemoration of the World’s AIDS Day 2012, Chevron Indonesia Company (CICo) and YCAB Foundation held a series of internal campaigns. This program is an extension of “I Wanna Live” Program, which Chevron and YCAB Foundation have been running since 2010 for HIV/AIDS prevention.

Chevron and YCAB Foundation conducted internal campaign activities which included a couple of talkshows about HIV/AIDS to 400 Chevron’s employees in Darajat and Salak and Training of Trainers (ToT) to 20 Chevron’s employees in Jakarta. It is hoped that these internal campaigns would raise Chevron’s employees awareness about HIV/AIDS.

On 29 November 2012, 20 Chevron’s employees took part in the Training of Trainers (ToT) held in Jakarta. The objective was to create internal HIV/AIDS ambassadors who will assist in disseminating information about HIV/AIDS to other Chevron’s employees.

During the ToT session, Chevron’s employees learnt basic information about HIV/AIDS, the HIV/AIDS prevention, self-esteem, communications, and public speaking. In addition to the material of the presentation, there were also some game activities to enrich the understanding of the participants. The Secretary General of YCAB Foundation dr. Iskandar Irwan Hukom and Manager Counseling Department YCAB Foundation Elsar D. Hayer were the trainers for this session. This session lasted for seven hours.
