Good news! Samsung Indonesia, one of YCAB’s partners, received the “Best CSR Award 2016”. This award is given based on Samsung’s corporate social responsibility program which deemed to give a positive impact to people. Samsung has several programs in Indonesia, and one of them is Rumah Belajar Samsung.
YCAB is honored to be part of this CSR program. This program is design to help underprivileged teenagers between 17-24 years old who cannot continue their formal studies or access higher education, so they can have skills that can make them adequate for employment or to set up their own business.
Rumah Belajar Samsung provides materials on reparation technicality for electronic products like home appliances, computer, audio video and handphone that meet the standard of Samsung Service Center, so graduates from Rumah Belajar Samsung have opportunity to work at Samsung Service center and have skills that made them able to compete in a job hunt.
Rumah Belajar Samsung are located at Jakarta, Cikarang – West Java, Tanjung Morawa – Medan, Banjarmasin and Makassar. Rumah Belajar Samsung has taught more than 2,000 students and graduated more than 500 students in collaboration.
The award was given by South Korean Embassy together with Korean Trade Investment & Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board and Indonesian Ministry of Small & Medium Enterprises.
