Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia (CCAI) has team up with Domino’s Indonesia to create a charitable event that focus on community development, one of which is education for the younger generation.
As a foundation that supports younger generation in their education and well being, YCAB Foundation has also joined the “Dream Big” sharing day event in hope to teach the generations to come with what CCAI and Domino’s Indonesia wants to develop. One of the programs in YCAB Foundation that helps to educate these children is called Hands-On Operation for Entrepreneurship (HOpE) together with CCAI and Domino’s Pizza they believe that they can contribute through this by providing business education in fast food restaurants and pizza making workshops and how to market it to young people aged 16-18 years who are ready to work.
In addition to this, the event took place in Domino’s Pizza Senayan City and there were about 30 children from YCAB Foundation who participated. The CEO of Domino’s Pizza Indonesia, Merrill Pereyra was also there to give a welcoming speech as well as the sales director of CCAI, Mark Payne.
There are two activities throughout the “Dream Big” event. The first one is from Domino’s Pizza, which teaches kids in detailed about the industry of fast food restaurants and the different aspects within the business. The topic for this activity include, learning the strategy and objective, how to handle the financial management, knowing how to market it (marketing), the quality: food safety & hygiene and lastly question & answer session.



Furthermore, the second activity is called “Entrepreneurial Workshop”. In “Entrepreneurial Workshop” they teaches students to participate in pizza making according to the standard and business plan of their group that they have decided on the previous activity. Accompanied by Domino’s employees and CCAIs, the representative from the two companies acted as a jury to specify which group that has came up with the best pizza and business plan.
Moreover, during the event “Dream Big” Sharing Day also gave a brief explanation about the recruitment system and the process of recruiting for work. This is so that children from YCAB Foundation gets the idea about the system and to prepare them regarding selection process in the employment world after they have graduated from YCAB Foundation School (Rumah Belajar).
