Last year Sandiaga S. Uno and friends from Berlari Untuk Berbagi/BUB (Run to Share) ran in the New York Marathon to help the underprivileged Indonesian.
The money raised was donated to YCAB Foundation to help funding the two programs of which one is the microfinance and the other is the Rumah Belajar (learning centre).
The microfinance program that is supported by this program is managed by Koperasi YCAB Manggarai branch and it is to empower women micro-entrepreneurs in this neighbourhood.
The Rumah Belajar in Manggarai, also supported by PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Group (TBIG), provides the women’s children and other underprivileged children in getting education including digital inclusion program and English classes. This learning center was opened on 6 June 2012.
