The International Social Entrepreneurship Conference (ISEC) 2012 is an annual event of INSEAD that is conducted in partnership with YCAB Foundation, Gadjah Mada University, and Binus Business School and which focuses on disseminating the latest information on social entrepreneurship, building initiatives between public and private sectors to enhance their participation in developing social entrepreneurial activities or projects and to engage on academic collaborations in social entrepreneurship.
ISEC 2012 is a three-day event that was held on 14-16 May in Jakarta, Indonesia. Its agenda is as follows follows: The first day was Student Workshop at BINUS Business School and in the evening a scribers facilitation workshop with Value Web. The second day was also at Binus Business School for Executive Forum and Workshop for Senior Management on how to set up social entrepreneurial projects in the company. In addition, there was a site visitation for Indonesian social entrepreneurs – YCAB Foundation’s Rumah Belajar (Learning Center) and its microfinance clients – also on the second day. The main event, the International Social Entrepreneurship Conference, was conducted on the third and final day at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in Jakarta.
There was also a press conference at Binus Business School on May 14th and a conference preparation dinner at Financial Club CIMB Niaga on May 15th.

Presentation & Business Plan Workshop at Binus Business School
The Presentation & Business Plan Workshop was held at Binus Business School for students who are short listed as semifinalists of Social Innovation Business Challenge 2012 competition. Facilitated by INSEAD and Binus Business School, students learned how to make, develop and present a social enterprise plan. The semifinalists will present their work in October to compete for the final round.

Press Conference
The press conference of ISEC 2012 was held at Binus Business School. The Business School of the World, INSEAD in collaboration with Binus Business School, Master of Management Universitas Gadjah Mada, and YCAB Foundation cemented a co-operation program called International Social Entrepreneurship Conference 2012 with the theme “Social Economy 4.0: Innovation, Sustainability and Responsibility”. This event took over three days, and programs included Student Competition Business Plan Workshop, Executive Forum, Senior Management Workshop, and the Conference itself. This event took place for three consecutive days from 14-16 May, 2012.

International Social Entrepreneurship Conference 2012
ISEC 2012 was held at Gadjah Mada University. This year’s theme is Social Economy 4.0: Innovation, Sustainability and Responsibility. The theme represents the latest trends of social entrepreneurship initiatives shared by multinational speakers from INSEAD, and international alumni of ISEP, combined with local partners which will be sharing their success’ best practices.
Social Economy 4.0 focuses on connecting stakeholders in developing the future social entrepreneurs of the world. The goal is to create an economy that thrives on the social opportunities based on innovation, sustainable means of revenue and role models of responsible and accountable business entity.
