Our written statement on Youth Development has been circulated by the United Nations

Posted on January 19, 2018

With our General Consultative Status from UN ECOSOC, we are glad to share that our written statement titled Youth Development to Achieve Sustainability and Eradicate Poverty has been circulated in the 56th session of the UN ECOSOC Commission for Social Development (CSocD).

Do you know that there are still more than 700 million people living below the international poverty line of $1.90 a day? Especially for a developing country such as Indonesia, poverty remains a widespread issue throughout the years.

Throughout the years, YCAB has joined global ecosystem to improve welfare for underprivileged youth and the mothers. Working on youth development through our educational and economic empowering programs serve as strategies to eradicate poverty and achieve sustainability for all. But as an NGO, we still face some challenges, both domestically and with our international branches. We also shared our future plan to establish Center of Change that serves the local communities’ needs. The Center of Change will act as the hub for both school and community outreach programs through interventions with the youths and the micro system of the families.

Internationally, we are planning to reach ten ASEAN countries and implement programs in partnership with the local partners by 2020. YCAB Foundation aims to touch lives of five million youths by the end of 2020.
