Jakarta, November 19th, 2015 – Sebastian Gunawan held a dazzling fashion show entitled “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” on Thursday, November 19, 2015. The event took place in Artprenuer, Ciputra World, Jakarta, where Seba, whose name the designer is more popularly known for, with his wife, Cristina Kanarese, presented gowns that showcased Seba’s signature luxurious and elegant style.

“This time Cristina and I presented 80 gowns in the flavor of classic dress. The inspiration for these works came from the beauty of the forests that were interpreted artistically”, Seba said.

The multi-faceted love story in Shakespeare’s script entitled A Midsummer Night’s Dream inspired Sebastian Gunawan for this collection, hence, the show’s name. This prominent designer then imagined the wilderness as a background of the story. Inspired by the forest, Seba tried to bring that natural atmosphere into his fashion show, not only in terms of the production design, but also in the flow of fashion line.

The collection emphasized Sebastian Gunawan’s commitment in terms of charity and philanthropy as he has been supporting YCAB and its educational programs since 2005. Sales of event tickets were given to YCAB Foundation which totalled to 685 million rupiah. YCAB has been a fortunate recipient of  Sebastian Gunawan’s fashion event earnings since 2005 under various fashionable themes: Classic Divine (2005), Rendezvouz (2006), Sweet and Swinging (2007), Femme Fatale (2010), and The Reflections of You (2011).
