This virtual yoga activity was hoped to educate the public about the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle throughout the pandemic.

The pandemic has shifted the way we do our usual activities, including restrictions on social activities and strict measures to stay at home in order to protect ourselves and others. Given the circumstances that require most people to limit their outdoor activities, the activity or movement of the community is reduced which forms a sedentary behavior, causing various health problems, well-being, and the overall quality of life of the presumably-healthy individuals.

To tackle this problem, Do Something Indonesia held the #HidupSehatBarengDSI campaign with a virtual yoga session entitled, “Stop Your Laziness, Let’s Move With Me!” with three college committees from reputable Indonesian universities. This initiative was hoped to educate the public about the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle throughout the pandemic.

#HidupSehatBarengDSI was held virtually on Instagram LIVE on March 27, 2022, with more than a total of 100 participants. For more information, visit Do Something Indonesia’s Instagram @dosomething_id.
