Super Indo – Delhaize Group Supports Indonesian Education

Vice President HR, Organizational Development & Sustainability of PT Lion Super Indo Melanie Dharmosetio, and Secretary General of YCAB Foundation dr. Iskandar Irwan Hukom at the ceremony at Rumah Belajar Duta Buntu West Jakarta. Super Indo and YCAB Foundation held a joint program “Help Kids Go Back to School” in an effort to send drop-out children in Indonesia back to school. The program was for the period of 5 July to 31 October 2011 and was held at all. 81 Super Indo outlets in Indonesia. Secretary General of YCAB Foundation dr. Iskandar Irwan Hukom is seen here giving an explanation about education in Indonesia. He stated that based on Education for All (EFA) Global Monitoring Report released by UNESCO in 2011, Indonesia’s education development index is the 69th out of 127 countries. Through the program with Super Indo, YCAB Foundation will allocate 100% donation to help 150 drop-out schools students and underprivileged youth back to school. During the program, 1,210,903 Super Indo customers took part and donated to YCAB Foundation.
