YCAB Foundation Founder and CEO Veronica Colondam appears on Kompas Kita today, 5 March 2012 to talk about her journey.
When Mrs. Colondam was 26 years old, she questioned about the meaning of her life. Even though she had become a young mother with two children, she felt like there is something missing if she didn’t use the talents that God has given her. Eighteen months later, YCAB Foundation was born.
From a stand against drugs to campaigns on the danger of free sex, Mrs. Colondam has now brought YCAB Foundation to a whole new level: on education and economics. YCAB has since built 33 House of Learning and Development (HoLD), or Rumah Belajar in 12 Indonesian provinces, and aiming to build another 20 by the end of 2013.
“I dream for YCAB Foundation to still be able to do its missions to the world, even though I am no longer here,” Mrs. Colondam says to Kompas Kita.
“I envision YCAB to expand its wings to the international world.
“One of our dreams is to do a global expansion.”
In the Kompas Kita profile article, Mrs. Colondam also talks about issues around drugs, lack of education, and the importance of economic sustainability. She shares about YCAB Foundation’s past journey and her hopes and dreams for the future.
