Jakarta, November 10, 2014 – PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL), the second-largest operator in Indonesia is committed to participate in supporting the government in encouraging the society’s participation towards the improvement of social and environmental conditions in Indonesia. The commitment is realized through programs of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in collaboration with 18 foundations / social institutions in Indonesia to launch XMARTDONATION program, a social fundraising program through SMS service that will be used for various things in the community, such as religious, children, economic and humanitarian, health, education, and the environment.
In this Xmartdonation program, XL provides 18 “keyword / keyword” according to the field / issue respectively. And further funds collected from XL customers via SMS Donation will be distributed to the 18 foundations for later managed in programs that will be carried out evenly throughout Indonesia.
To participate in SMS Donation program is very easy. XL Customers simply send SMS to type the name of the Institution (e.g. YCAB) and send it to number 5000 or send it to number 2500, or another way is through UMB menu, type * 123 * 8461 # – select the donation – select category donation – select a foundation – the nominal input.
Throughout the year, XL has been actively conducting SMS Donation to raise funds in order to various donations and social missions. This year, the XL SMS donation has included donations for teachers, the citizens of Manado and Bekasi who were affected by flood and a number of other disasters. Collected funds are channeled through social institutions in various forms according to the needs of the communities that receive the funds.
