
It was certainly a challenging year for us last year, the world was hit with the Covid-19 pandemic and it certainly has forced us to do many things differently adapting to the change. Against all odds, we continue to do good works here at YCAB, and accomplished a lot of things together, thanks to the helping hands of many. Here’s a recap of what we’ve accomplished together in 2020, our project’s journey.
Rumah Batik Semarang was established in February of 2020. It has become a place where people learn how to create batik. We hope that it will create work opportunities for students while preserving our national heritage batik. Now, Rumah Batik Semarang has 30 students. Next, YCAB launched LightUp Indonesia on 21 April 2020. LightUp Indonesia succeeded accumulated IDR 9,450,683, 254 and able to help 100.077 families in 34 provinces in Indonesia. Also, our Rumah Belajar has retained 146 students who still do their home learning during this pandemic.

Along 2020, YCAB collaboration with some partners to support women and children in Indonesia. Together with HSBC Indonesia, YCAB running few programs such as Anak Bangsa Siap Berkarya (ABSB), High Impact Program, Women Entrepreneur Empowerment and Resiliency for Women and Farmers.
Anak Bangsa Siap Berkarya (ABSB) helps prepare students to get ready to work, while the workforce is getting more and more competitive these days. This project reached out to 10.045 participants. Meanwhile, High Impact Program recruited 1.040 participants and Women Entrepreneur Empowerment, helped 94.250 people. And to create business opportunities for female and farmer-owned MSMEs by presenting a comprehensive, long-term solution to the complex problems they face as a result of COVID-19, Resiliency For Women & Farmers assisted 250 participants.

Together with Youth Business International (YBI) and funded by Google.org, YCAB support underserved micro, small and medium businesses to respond to the COVID-19 crisis through Rapid Response Recovery Program. The program’s success reached out to 1.175 women.
YCAB also successfully running some projects to accelerate the growth of digital talents involving teachers and students in Indonesia. Asah Digital From Facebook involved 800 teachers and 1.600 students; Garena Guru Digital successfully impacted 737 teachers and 30.200 students; Mastercard Girls4Tech impacted 7.977 students.
