Like many others in the world, YCAB Foundation, for the past year has had been forced a massive shift, both in our focus and response. We are committed to thinking long-term about our mission – empowering Indonesian youth – despite the short-term uncertainty.
As part of the YCAB Foundation’s COVID-19 response, YCAB Foundation answers the call of the community, by running two global campaigns.
The fight against COVID-19 needed as many hands as are available. Help us help others!
Vaccination: 1 in 8 COVID-19 patients are children. Indonesia once had the worst mortality rate in the world for children under 5 years old, with more than 100 deaths a week. In addition to that, children with special needs who are infected with COVID-19 have a higher mortality rate and are four times more likely to contract COVID-19 than others. This is why YCAB Foundation reaches out to all parties to join forces in providing vaccination for special needs children.
Vaccinating children with special needs in Cinta Anak Bangsa Clinic will offer a special facility with additional care staff and support to ensure their comfort and ease during the vaccination process. The clinic provides the children with privacy and an efficient vaccination process that will not be traumatic. With mobility being one of the biggest obstacles for children with special needs, especially those from marginalized communities; transportation will also be provided.
Place your act now and help us get our children vaccinated!
Oxygen: Indonesia still has 55,936 COVID-19 active cases with about a quarter requiring oxygen to stay alive. With this number, we need your help.
This campaign aims to provide 10 thousand 10L oxygen concentrators, targeted to be distributed to at least 200 hospitals nationwide. The number of oxygen concentrators under 10L that are readily available is not sufficient for hospital use. 10,000 concentrators can immediately impact 30,000 lives in a month and 7 million+ lives in its lifetime. Act now and join us in our fight against COVID-19!
