Seeing the need of equal learning opportunities for underprivileged children, 22-year-old Zin New Win decides to build this project. This project aims to provide children with a meaningful and yet comfortable environment to interact with others, hence the name: The Wonderful Garden Project.
The members of the project itself are solely volunteers, who need to travel two hours from Yangon to Hle Ku, the location of the project, to teach for three hours, and travel two hours back every week.
While each of the volunteers has their own activities, these young people hear the need of the underprivileged people and decide to answer their call.
In terms of the activities, the children will also loan books and reward them for reading as an effort to instil the culture of reading. Currently, the project has 200 elementary students.
