Accenture has witnessed the profound effect of social activity participation has on people, businesses, industries, markets and communities and viewed it as one of the most important key performance indicators to develop their career as well as to increase their skills and knowledge.
“We understand, from our interactions with NGOs, YCAB in particular, that while most of the students / youths would have good if not strong technical skills – in which Accenture and YCAB also supply with free computer course, they are lacking in confidence and aptitude for them to succeed in the workplace. Therefore, aligned with the Skills to Succeed theme, Accenture employees in Jakarta office equipped the students with the soft skills they need to make them more attractive to employers through volunteering sessions in collaboration with YCAB. Usually 8-15 employees would volunteer in a session and spend about 3-4 hours with them,” said Reggie Devanna, Strategy Manager and Corporate Citizenship Account Lead for YCAB at Accenture Indonesia.
As one of the leading international consultant, Accenture is committed to balance professional work and social responsibility through investing time, funds, and additional resources to build and transform Indonesian communities by providing capacity building training for high school graduates designed to get them ready for work through “Skills to Succeed with Accenture” volunteerism program.
