Gianyar, 18 November 2018 – The annual fundraising event ‘Angel of Change’ (AOC) is back in Bali. This year the theme of AOC is “Live for a Perfect Goal” and is organized by YCAB Foundation and supported by PT Multistrada Arah Sarana, Tbk, Bengkel BOS, and Bali United. AOC is an annual fundraising event for YCAB, the aim of this event is to help the education of underprivileged youths in Indonesia through YCAB’s Learning Centers (Rumah Belajar YCAB)
Every year, Angel of Change has a different and unique concept for all the donors that participate in this event. The theme for Angel of Change 2018 is “Live for a Perfect Goal”, inspired by the spirit of the game. In every football match, the players sole focus is to move forward and score a goal and triumph against the odds. It is hoped that this spirit can be adapted in solving various issues in the education sector. This theme is also in line with the vision of YCAB Foundation, to help youth to become self-reliant through education and economic empowerment programs.
This year, more than 150 donors from PT Multistrada Arah Sarana Tbk’s distributor and Bengkel BOS’s network will watch a match featuring Bali United at the Kapten I Wayan Dipta Stadium in Gianyar, Bali. “Every year we try to give our best efforts to contribute to the Learning Centers programme provided by YCAB, we also get fantastic help from our distributor partners who also give their contributions in advancing the education and prosperity of Indonesia people,” said Jimmy Wiyono, General Manager of PT Multistrada Arah Sarana, Tbk.
“Angel of Change hopes it can influence others to give a contribution for education in Indonesia, and in practice we can do this in any field. One that we can see through Bali United’s contribution is to hold a match with the aim of putting the spotlight on education issues. Besides, Bali United provides for the many different operational needs of YCAB’s Learning Centers learning and study activities; that are spread throughout various locations in Indonesia,” said Yabes Tanuri, CEO Bali United.
“Launched in 2009, the Angel of Change initiatives have already supported more than 1000 pre-prosperous youth to go back to school. During YCAB’s 19 year existence, it has given an impact to 3,3 million youth. Our target is to have impacted 5 million youth by the end of 2020. For the future, these kind of initiatives that are in line with our spirit the Extension of Goodness must continue to be developed to expand the impact,” said Veronica Colondam, Founder/CEO YCAB Foundation.
