Collaboration of YCAB and PT Multistrada for Angel of Change Night and Tire for Education

Jakarta, June 10, 2011 – Last night Yayasan Cinta Anak Bangsa (YCAB Foundation) received donations an estimated of Rp 1 billion from the “Angel of Change Night” that was held in cooperation with PT Multistrada Arah Sarana, Tbk, one of the largest tire manufacturers in Indonesia.
Angel of Change Night is an annual YCAB social fundraising event. About 300 guests attended the event including the YCAB’s partners and ambassadors as well as the business partners of PT Multistrada Arah Sarana. It took place at the Wisma Achilles, South Kedoya West Jakarta.
YCAB launched the “Angel of Change” campaign in 2009 to inspire individuals and companies in Indonesia to invest in the education of Indonesian children. We believe by providing education for the underprivileged youth and those who dropped out of school, we will be able to help break the cycle of poverty and create advancement for the country “, says Founder / CEO YCAB Veronica Colondam last night.
A number of artists such as Calvin Jeremy, Nania and the Voice of Indonesia helped to enliven the event by bringing a number of songs inspired by social-themed poems. A number of corporations and media including Samsung, Golden Rama, Men’s Health, Best Life and Lindt also participated by sponsoring the Angel of Change Night event.
PT Multistrada Arah Sarana, Tbk not only supported the Angel of Change Night event, but on the same day, June 9, 2011, Multistrada also launched its new CSR programme “Tire for Education”. This program will have Multistrada to donate Rp 500 for each tire sold in the domestic market for YCAB.
“We would like to contribute to the advancement of Indonesian education through long-term cooperation with YCAB. We also launched the CSR program to show that we care, particularly in the education matters. YCAB continue to prove show their commitment and consistency in contributing to the making of independent Indonesian youth via its series of holistic youth development programs.

Hopefully, in a few years we could see the progress of this nation as the quality of human resources available increase due to education”, said Veronica while giving acknowledgments after the Angel of Change Night event.
