YCAB continues to evolve into a global social enterprise piloting programs in five other countries namely Myanmar, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Uganda, Mongolia and Laos, and is ready to expand more in South East Asian region. YCAB received the UN-ECOSOC General Consultative Status in 2016.
Veronica has authored several books on youth development and risky behavior. She is also the youngest recipient of the United Nation award called the UN-Vienna Civil Society Award (2001) and appointed as Young Global Leaders of the World Economic Forum (2006). She’s also the Fellow of Asia Society’s 21 Young Leaders (2007) and of Global Social Innovator Park Fellow (2008), Globe Asia’s Most Powerful Women in Indonesia (2007), and Channel News Asia Change Maker (2009) & Asian of the Year (2010). The winner of Ernst & Young Social Entrepreneur of the Year (2011) and Schwab Foundation’s Social Entrepreneur of 2012, her leadership brought YCAB to rank 32nd of Top 100 SPO/NGO by NGO Advisor (2020). In 2014, Forbes named her as 48 Asian Philanthropist and one of Ten Most Inspiring Women in Indonesia.
With a degree in Mass Communications, she received her Master in Social Science from the Imperial College, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. Alumnus of the Global Leadership program at Harvard’s Kennedy School (2009); Leadership Lab at MIT; Social Entrepreneurship at INSEAD and Impact Investment, SAID Business School, Oxford.
By 2020, YCAB aims to impact five million people and raise US$ 50 Mn in Impact Investment fund for its mission driven microfinance program where education is made pre requisite to the loan.

Adelle graduated from UC Berkeley in 2019 with a double major in Economics and Development Studies. She also spent time in the University of Geneva, Switzerland, where she gained expertise in Business Innovation for Social Responsibility. She was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia – a city that opened her eyes to the reality of social inequality. This upbringing coupled with her early involvement in setting up the microfinance program of YCAB Foundation, fueled her passion to create opportunities for all especially through education and youth empowerment.
Her passion to catalyze positive change through collaboration across society is reflected in her cross-sectoral and global work experiences in the private, public, and nonprofit sector. In the governmental level, she has worked as an economic research analyst in The Executive Office of the President of Indonesia where she was involved in the evaluation of the infrastructure development in Kalimantan (Borneo). In the social sector, she was an operations and impact assessment intern in an impact investing firm in San Francisco called Just Business and also a grant operations intern in a nonprofit called the Green Light Fund. In those experiences, she was responsible to conduct due diligences on potential investees and helped streamline the investment process. In the private sector, she has had work experience in the United Kingdom as a partnership activation intern in Manchester United.
In 2018, Adelle co-founded Spark USA. Spark is a social impact organization that aims to inspire youths to leverage their careers to solve complex social and environmental issues in order to create a generation of purpose-driven and impactful leaders. To date, Spark has reached hundreds of undergraduates and grad students alike through events and conferences. Currently, Adelle is a Strategic Partnerships Fellow for Wikimedia Foundation (Wikipedia), focusing specifically on creating partnerships in South East Asia with multiple stakeholders in order to democratize and give access to free knowledge for all. At the same time, she devotes her time to serve YCAB Foundation remotely.

Stella is the Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer of YCAB. Prior to joining YCAB, Stella was an Investment Officer at IFC, the World Bank Group’s arm that supports the development of private sector. She specialized in investments in the Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Services sectors in East Asian countries. Previous to that, she has worked for Principia Management Group and Nestle Indonesia.
Stella completed her MBA at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She was part of the Wharton Social Impact Fund and had spent a summer interning at Grameen Bank in New York City. She graduated with honors in Industrial Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung. Since 2014, she has been part of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community.

Susi has over 30 years experience in running corporate for profit organisations and for the past 12 years in the NGO sector. Her knowledge and experience is extensive applying corporate strategies to the non-profit world to generate extensive funding.
She has worked as Development and Leadership Officer at Habitat for Humanity Asia Pacific and at the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.
Susi has been the Chief Operating Officer at YCAB Foundation since April 2019 and will be taking the foundation to achieve its 2020 target to reach 5 million youth.
Susi was born in Indonesia but migrated to Singapore from age 4. She’s educated in Singapore and UK completing her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Chemistry followed by a Masters in Business Administration. She’s an alumnus of the INSEAD Global Leaders of the World Programme.

Pieter’s passion in financial market has led him to chair several securities and asset management companies. Completing his cycle of experience extended from banking to manufacturing, Pieter recently sold his tire factory to Michelin.
His other passion in sport business has led him to acquire Bali United football club. To date, Bali United is the most uprising football club with a well managed club with over five million fans. Bali Utd is among the very few football clubs in Asia that went public in Indonesia, listed in indonesia stock exchange mid June 2019.

Victor Colondam joined the Board of Trustee in early 2015. Prior to joining the board, he has been a great support to his younger sister, Veronica, the CEO of YCAB Foundation. As part of family legacy, YCAB was co-founded by their late mother, Charlotte Marriane Elizabeth Cussoy-Colondam (1937-2002).
With his personal motto “much is given, much is expected”, he journeys life with his devotion to spiritual life and giving has been a big part of his worship.
After graduated with an Electrical Engineering degree, he started several business in manufacturing electron business supply chain and now holds senior position in Michelin owned company, PT. Multistrada Arah Sarana Tbk (MASA).
He loves sport and is specially passionate about badminton. Since his youth, he was trained as an athlete until an injury that ended his career in competitive sport.

Arsjad is the President Director and CEO of Indika Energy Ltd. with a market capitalization of US$2.5 billion. Under his leadership, Indika became Indonesia’s first Global Growth Company awarded by the World Economic Forum. He was also appointed the Forum’s Young Global Leader in 2011. It was his passion in education and his love for the spirit of making a difference that brought him to join YCAB Foundation to help YCAB scale globally. Studied at University of Southern California, in Computer Engineering in 1990 and graduated from Pepperdine University, California with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1993. An alumnus of Harvard Kennedy School, on Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century program and at the NUS’ Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore, both in 2012. In the years that followed, he also studied Impact Investing at Said Business School; University of Oxford and completed the Executive Education on Leadership and Decision Making in the 21st Century program at Yale University. Arsjad currently holds several authoritative positions; Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Kadin), Commissioner of Kideco, PT Indika Energy Infrastructure and PT Rukun Raharja Tbk. He also holds positions as President Director of PT Indika Inti Corpindo and PT Indika Infrastruktur Investindo. He is the Chairman of Indika Foundation since 2017.

Ms. Albandjar is currently the Chief Communication Officer of DANA one of Indonesia’s leading digital wallet startups. She also serves as Board of Commissioner of Kimia Farma, Indonesia Pharmaceutical State Owned Enterprise. In the Public Sector, Ms. Albandjar was the Special Advisor to the Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, and served as the Expert Advisor to the Commission I DPR RI responsible for Information Communications, Foreign Affairs, Inteligence and Military Policy. In the private sector, she held the role of Market Access, Public Affairs and Policy Director for several Multinational Companies such as as Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) Indonesia, Pfizer and Microsoft, in addition of years working in broadcasting and telecommunication companies. Ms Albandjar graduated from Airlangga University Surabaya Indonesia and received her bachelor degree in International Relations at the Social & Political Science Department. She is also the recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship, acquiring her Masters of Arts (in Electronic Media) from the San Francisco State University where she received the university’s highest award as the outstanding graduate student; in addition to acquiring Master of Business Administration from the Prasetiya Mulya Business School – Jakarta. Currently she is pursuing her Doctorate Degree in Business Administration at Pelita Harapan University, Jakarta.
Ms. Albandjar carries with her more than 25 years of Information and Communication experience, in Journalism, Management and Public Policy. After returning from the US, she is heavily involved in the telecommunication industry in the rural areas and ICT issues especially regarding digital divide issues. Her expertise in information, communications, information technology policies made her a frequent speaker at forums related to her field. She held several organization positions including Executive Committe for Indonesia Chamber of Commerce; and several youth social movement non profit organizations in the area of building capacity and enabling youths, and also animal welfare. As a professional, Ms. Albandjar visions re-position the paradigm of politics and economy in Indonesia to that of a professional stature.
Ms. Albandjar played many roles in the political shaping of Indonesia’s new governmental map, and anti corruption movements.

Over 12 years experience in the marketing communications industry in both client and agency side, started out as a public relations executive in the tourism and hospitality industry before moving on to FCB in 1996 followed by EURO RSCG in 2000 where she opened the agency’s marketing services arm in 12 cities nationwide. She moved up the ladder and became the GM for EURO RSCG Adwork! in 2002 with multinational FMCG clients such as Nestle, Reckitt Benckiser, Sara Lee, and EFFEM Foods. Others such as Volvo,Intel and Panasonic. And local brands such as Telkom Indonesia, Bakrie Telekom/Esia, Bank Mandiri, BII, Indofood, Gudang Garam and Konimex. In 2005 she joined Y&R/Wunderman as General Manager and since 2010, she is the Executive Director of Leo Burnett Indonesia.
Lia was voted “Best PR executive 1999” from Bali Post and “10 Best Female Executive 2006” from Dewi Magazine; Fellow of Asia 21 Young Leaders, an initiative by Asia Society.
Born January 1972 in Sydney, Australia, Lia spent most of her childhood in Zurich and Frankfurt, before her 10 years education in the country she calls her second home, Singapore.

Sukirno Tarjadi, born in 1962, is a counselor, public speaker and trainer. He holds a postgraduate diploma in Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy (a family therapy model) from the Satir Institute of the Pacific (Vancouver).
He is also licensed by the Institute to conduct training for counselors. He regularly conducts classes in counseling and family therapy, parenting and life enrichment. Sukirno also sees individual clients for counseling and therapy. He and his wife are both certified in Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis (T-JTA) and Common Sense Parenting.

Rofikoh Rokhim is an associate professor at the Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia, and the director of Master of Management program in the university. Rofikoh’s research interest covers banking, finance, capital market, good governance, economic crisis, and development of domestic finance, foreign direct investment, micro credit, and other studies. She has published on finance and economic-related issues in several academic journals, including European Journal of Operation Research, Research in International Business and Finance, Journal of Enterprising Communities and Humanomics.
Rofikoh is currently active in several activities outside of the academia, including serving as an independent commissioner at Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) and board member at Article 33 foundation. She was also member of task force in Anti Mafia Migas by Ministry of Energy & Natural Resources and task force Village Fund by Ministry of Village, Transmigration and Remote Area. She was also member of audit and risk management in several companies. She received her doctoral degree with concentration in applied micro and macro economics from Université de Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne, France, in 2005.

Lisa Luhur-Schad began her career in RCTI, the pioneer of Indonesian private television company. Over the years she expanded her portfolio covering not only television, but also print media. She was the President Director at Media Indonesia Daily from 2006- 2014 Currently her role as Chief CSR Officer of Media Group cover the whole social responsibility activities within the group and its business units, she is also the Secretary General of Sukma Foundation – an social organisation founded by Media Group to manage humanitarian aid for tsunami and other natural disaster victims which has raised hundreds of billions of Rupiah to transform the lives of displaced people across the Archipelago. In addition to this, Lisa is also the Chair of Media Group Foundation and the Chair of Kick Andy Foundation which has initiated many movements to support the marginalised people. KickAndy is a well known talk show host that has inspired millions in Indonesia through his weekly program.
While busy in her professional life, Mrs Luhur-Schad is also in advancing her education, including her participation in the IDEAS Fellowship Program, MIT-Sloan School of Management, Boston (Innovative Dynamic Education & Action for Sustainability). In 2010, Ms Luhur-Schad kindly accepted her role of as an international advisor to YCAB.

As a Human Capital Committee and Ethics member of YCAB Foundation, Shasha is both active in her psychology practice as HR consultant and committed to the profession. She discovered YCAB back in 2007 where she join youth training program that held by one of YCAB’s business unit called Pelangi.
She received her M.A., Psychology Industry and Organization from Atma Jaya Catholic University. To aid her expertise, she underwent professional trainings and certification in the United States of America in areas of training and development programs as master trainer and professional consultant.
In 2010, she co-founded FLIP, a Strategic Learning Partner & HR Consultant, which provides strategic solution such as consulting, training and module development to organization.
Prior to joining YCAB, Shasha practiced psychology as a lecturer in Atma Jaya University of Indonesia and taught subject of training and organizational development. She also gave trainings to well-established companies all throughout Indonesia and Phillippines.

Bobby’s passion in developing human resources can be seen in his 30 years record of achievement. He demonstrated success leading, managing and delivering training for professionals and youths in Japan, Abu Dhabi, Austria, Indonesia, Pakistan, as well as the Philippines and the United States. Stanford University, Harvard Business School and Claremont College in USA are three of the many places he visited to top his professional development.
He believes in people and their potential. He strives to have positive impact on people, who will then ripples the effect on others. His main value in human resource development is by contributing to people so that they can develop their potential and performance as well as their careers, and thereby change businesses and even nations.
Bobby acquired M.A., Psychology from University of Indonesia and his interest is in intercultural studies, training and clinical psychology. He also had an extensive knowledge of psychology with publications appearing in various Indonesian print media.
He served in Advisory Department and Board of Human Capital and Ethics of YCAB Foundation before his tenure as the Chief of Board Advisor. In the present day, he works closely with FLIP which he founded in 2012 as the fruit of his passion in human resource development and management.

Ali has over twenty years of professional experience in financial, accounting and tax consulting. He is currently a Tax Partner in one of the big 4 accounting firms.
One of his passions is helping Indonesian children to access (better) education, and this is reflected in his involvement in YCAB.
Ali graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Tarumanagara University majoring in Accounting in 1995. He obtained his MM Strategic Management degree from Prasetiya Mulya Business School in 2015. He is also a registered Tax Consultant (Brevet C) and a registered Chartered Accountant (CA) with the Indonesian Institute of Accountants.

Wayah spent over 4 years in GE Indonesia in different functions

Philmon Tanuri has been exposed to the social sector and its intricacies since a very young age. In the 6th grade, he created a website dedicated to raising awareness and inspiring visitors about the issue of poverty in Indonesia. In 2010, he launched an online micro finance with a social investment model in the form of a website that allows visitors to fund underprivileged youths education.
He has also embarked on two projects in 2012-2013 – The Water Project and Revamplify. The Water Project sought and succeeded in bringing 5000 underprivileged people in Kampung Lemo sustainable access to clean water. Revamplify was an event that raised awareness and funds for multiple causes.
He is currently a junior at UC Berkeley double-majoring in the fields of Economics and Business Administration, estimated to graduate in 2017. Aside from his responsibilities for YCAB International Inc. as Vice President, he also serves as the President of Berkeley Indonesian Student Association (BISA) and an Operations Manager and Consultant for Voyager Consulting, a consulting club on campus that caters to high-growth tech companies and Fortune 500 companies.

Michael Mitterlehner is an Investment Professional with Vitruvian Partners, a London-based a growth capital fund.
Prior to that, Michael was the Managing Director and Co-Founder of a private equity backed e-commerce business. Previously, Michael was with Goldman Sachs Capital Partners where he focused on investment opportunities in the Retail and Industrial sectors.
Michael has an MSc in International Business Administration from Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and a CEMS Masters degree in International Management from HEC Paris.
Michael has been involved with YCAB since he spent time with the team during a year-long sabbatical that led him to work with Social Entrepreneurs across the globe.
Michael lives in London with his wife and their young daughter.

Julianto Sidarto is a retired Managing Director of Accenture, who has served as Country Managing Director of Indonesia, member of Accenture’s ASEAN Leadership Council, and various regional leadership roles.
He has over 26 years of Management Consulting & Operations experience, helping clients define and execute large scale business change.
His client experience includes private and state owned Indonesian companies, global Multinationals, and other Asian companies, and has lived and worked in Indonesia, USA, Germany, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Julianto holds an MBA degree from the UCLA Anderson School of Management in Los Angeles, California in 1988, a Masters degree in Computer Science and a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland in 1984.
He currently serves as senior management advisor/ commissioner at several companies in Indonesia.

Andre Louhanapessy is the Dean of Studies at the University College, The University of Melbourne and has been working in the Tertiary Education Management sector for the past 6 years. Previously, Andre spent 9 years working in the international development field with the United Nations Development Program and with the Church World Service in Indonesia. During his tenure at the United Nations his responsibilities included Head of Peace and Development Cluster for UNDP Bangladesh, Special Assistant to Head of Office (Programme Specialist) for UNDP South Sudan and Deputy Section Head for the Crisis Prevention and Recovery Unit of UNDP Indonesia. Andre’s area of specialization is in the design and the management of programs that focuses on conflict prevention, post conflict and post disaster recovery. He has a Master’s Degree in Development Studies from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from the Trisakti University in Indonesia. Andre is a member of School Council for Alamanda College P-9 and was a member of the Board of Directors of Melbourne Girls Grammar School. He is an International Advisory Board Member of the YCAB Foundation.

Janine Teo heads Solve Education!, an education technology not-for-profit with the mission of delivering quality education to everyone, focussing on the BOP (Bottom of Pyramid) demographic.
Janine is a passionate entrepreneur who has founded and sold companies in the technology, beauty and consumer goods industries. On top of her entrepreneurial experience, Janine has also a strong international track record in sales, marketing and revenue management in the corporate world, mostly in the highly competitive hospitality industry. She has worked in 8 different countries, and has trained and supported hotels across almost 100 countries. As an enthusiastic linguist, she is fluent in 5 languages.
Janine’s research paper on Solve Education!: “How gaming, artificial intelligence and big data is changing education” is published in IEEE’s International Conference on Game, Game Art and Gamification 2016. She has also published her research paper in IEEE, ACM and SCS conferences in the field of parallel simulation.
Education is the key to solve the many challenges we face in the world today, and because of this, Janine is an avid speaker on topics like education, edtech, and poverty alleviation.
She is born and raised in Singapore, and has a Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore.

Desra Percaya is an Indonesian diplomat and currently Director General for Asia, the Pacific and Africa at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Desra believe was appointed ambassador and permanent representative of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Nations in New York in February 2012. He was elected chair of the United Nations First Committee (Disarmament and International Security) on 4 September 2013. Also served as Vice-President of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), Co-facilitator on human rights treaty bodies, Chairman of the NAM Working Group on Disarmament, vice-chair of the UN Committee on the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, and vice-chair of the UN Committee on Decolonization.
Believe was previously Indonesia’s permanent deputy representative to the UN in Geneva, Switzerland. He first joined Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1986.

In July 2007 UN Secretary-General Mr. Ban Ki-moon appointed Mr. Sandro Calvani from Italy, as Director General of the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI), based in Turin, Italy with programmes in all continents.
Mr. Sandro Calvani took over the leadership of UNICRI in July 2007 and became the eighth Director to lead the Institute from its establishment in 1967. His tenure of appointment ended in April 2010. Before being appointed to UNICRI, Mr. Calvani was the Director of the UNODC Office in Colombia (2004-07).
Mr. Calvani has significant experience across a wide range of social issues, particularly in the fields of humanitarian aid, sustainable development, conflict resolution convergence of emerging threats in human security and social business applied to rural development.
In 1988 Mr. Calvani was the Founding Director of the W.H.O. Panafrican Centre for Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Reduction, based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In 1991 Mr. Calvani became Regional Director for Inter-Agency External Coordination at the WHO Regional Office for Africa, based in Brazzaville, Congo.
In 1992 Mr. Calvani joined the United Nations. He has served the UN organization in many capacities. He was Country Director of the UNODC Office in Bolivia (1992-95) and developed the largest programme in the world in the field of alternative rural development to replace illicit crops, with a budget of US$45 million which involving some 300 collaborators around the country.
In 1995 Mr. Calvani became Director of the Barbados-based UNODC Regional Office for the Caribbean and was responsible for UN aspects of drug control coordination in 29 countries and territories in the Region. Under his leadership, UNODC facilitated the development of the first integrated Regional Drug Control Programme, endorsed and sponsored by more than 40 countries.
In 1998 Mr. Calvani served as the UNODC Representative to the Institutions of the European Union in Brussels, Belgium and in 1999 he became Director of the UNODC Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific, based in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2002 he was elected Chairman of the UN Regional Hiv-AIDS policy coordination group in Asia, the largest in the world.
Before being appointed at the United Nations, he was Assistant Professor at the University of Genoa, Italy where he had previously obtained a Masters Degree and Dottorato in Biological Sciences. In 1980 he was named Chief of the Development Aid Department of Caritas, Rome, Italy. He went on to lead the Caritas International delegation at FAO, WFP and IFAD and was a member of the delegation of the Italian NGOs to the European Commission until 1985. In 1987 he was named Coordinator for the Caritas Foreign Aid Programme and was member of the Governing Board of the Development Cooperation Directorate of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
To date, Mr. Calvani has worked in 135 countries and is the author of 20 books and more than 600 articles on sustainable development, humanitarian aid, public health, convergence of emerging threats in human security.
He was a visiting scientist at Colorado State University, Fort Collins. CO. USA, at Harvard (JFK School of Government), Cambridge, MA, USA and at Louvain University in Belgium. He pursued studies in Soil Ecology at the Natural Resources Ecology Laboratory at CSU, Disaster Preparedness and Response, Conflict Resolution and Leadership in Development and has received various awards for professional excellence, in Italy and in Colombia.

Since 2005, Susli has built a career in financial services, ranging from consulting, investing, and fintech entrepreneurship. She started her career in management consulting, specializing in financial services, and subsequently held the first Asia-Pacific Chief of Staff role for Oliver Wyman. Her investment experience is focused on Indonesia and includes impact venture capital at YCAB Ventures and private equity at Quvat Capital and LeapFrog Investments, a $1+ billion global impact fund. Prior to joining the Gajah Tunggal group, Ms. Widjaja worked for various multinational companies including Deutsche Bank AG, Jakarta, as a Foreign Exchange Dealer for two years from 1986 to 1988, and HSBC Indonesia, for nine years, where she last held the position of Country Treasurer.
She received a Master of Science in Control Engineering from the University of Bradford in 1986, and Graduated in Mathematics and its Applications from Sheffield Polytechnic, in 1985 and HND in Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Studies from Leeds Polytechnic, United Kingdom, in 1983.
